Blue Moon is a unique hotel and retreat center located in the foothills of the Septentrional mountains of the Dominican Republic's north coast. Boasting breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and lush rolling farmland dotted with royal palms and fruit trees, the property is located only 40 minutes from the Puerto Plata International Airport, and a mere 15 minutes from the windsurfing and kiteboarding sport-town of Cabarete.
The Blue Moon is a peaceful hilltop retreat close to "civilization", but away from the tourist crowds. Our 38 acres of absolute tranquility in the Dominican countryside are perfect for romantic and family getaways, and our quiet, reflective environment is particularly suited for retreats, parties, workshops, and special events.
The Blue Moon's four artistically simplistic bungalows with six suites and one family suite have many unexpected amenities. Our bungalows are set close enough to one and another for convenience, but far enough to allow the special privacy we all desire. We specializes in private parties, weddings, meditation and yoga retreats, incentive groups, and student tours. Our facility may be rented in its entirety from only 8 persons. We welcome all types of groups.
The poolside restaurant at Blue Moon has an international reputation for its exotic dinner parties. Famous for our authentic East Indian feasts, our guests enjoy their extensive meal seated upon cushions on the floor beneath a thatched roof the traditional way: using the right hand as silverware and banana leaves as plates.
In the morning you are treated to a deluxe complementary country breakfast including various tropical fruits and vegetables, many organically grown right here, and farm-fresh dairy. During the day, enjoy a filling and delicious Dominican or vegetarian lunch. Sunsets at Blue Moon are unparalleled, and the spectrum of electric colors washed upon the horizon make for unforgettable happy hours.
